What does it mean that they “didn’t grieve the ruin of Joseph”? In Amos, the leaders and rulers are indicted for their lack of concern for their people because they themselves have been insulated by wealth and power. But even that would be short-lived. The same way the brothers of Joseph had no concern for him when he was sold into slavery.

What does it mean to be a people who honor God, honor ourselves, and honor others?
