One of the scariest moments for me happened years ago, when my third son, Lucas, was just 11 months old. He had a febrile seizure towards the end of a three-hour road trip to visit my mom. It was a moment of true panic. A moment where the control I thought I had was proven to be nothing more than an illusion. In this moment, the Lord spoke to me. And He did it through Psalm 46.
